Worst Support and Hosting up time, Lost all of my traffic keywords and site deindex
Namecheap Support., is one of the worst support providers i`ve ever met in my entire life. They assumed to the client to stay at least 10-15 minutes to get their message for just 2 words and it seems we are fools, our site dropped due to server connectivity and GSC also reported user server host was not responding due to that all our site traffic keywords dropped, i asked for uptime report she is say it was up without any giving evidence, she not suppose to deal with clients, very disappointed.
I've been working with them for years and so far I haven't had any problems. Recently (about 10 days ago) I renewed the hosting I had with them ($68, when I could have cancelled and created a new one for half the price, do this if you're thinking of working with them, although I don't recommend it) and foolishly I paid $68 instead of cancelling and creating another one that would cost me half the price.
Well, it turns out that it's impossible to work on their hosting. They tell me that the CPU is always at 100% even if I'm not working on any website.
Several people tell me that they find it difficult to access the website and that in the backend it takes more than 10 minutes to upload a simple product to the online store.
When I contacted them they told me that it was because of my websites that had a lot of traffic (100 visits a day, if that's a lot of traffic, we're in trouble) which is not true, since as I say in previous years that I worked with them I got thousands of visits a day and without any problem. Coincidentally, after taking a look at the Namecheap stuff, the CPU usage that used to be around 96%-100% always drops to 20%. Things seem to be going back to normal. But no, the next day the CPU is back to 100% and it doesn't even let me access the website.
I contacted them again to cancel the service and return the money I recently paid for their service, since it doesn't work properly and it's impossible to work like this.
Today, when I read their reply email, I see that they have indeed cancelled my hosting, but they won't give me a cent of refund.
Excuse me? I renewed this hosting less than a week ago for double what it would have cost me with the method of cancelling and creating a new one, you cancelled it and you're not going to give me anything back?
A serious company would return the amount in accordance with the time remaining on the service (which I expected), what do I say? A truly serious company would refund the full amount (only a few days used, if you can say used given the way the hosting was going) and apologize for the inconvenience to their client, hoping that they will return in the future. But this is not a serious company.
This company is a bunch of scoundrels. They cancel your hosting (which doesn't work well) and don't give you a cent. They shouldn't have cancelled the hosting, which still had more than 350 days available. I still can't believe what these scammers have done. This is the first time this has happened to me with a company of this type.
Stay away from this company's hosting.
They are big cheats and scammers. They use refurbished, low-quality servers, causing your website to stop working frequently. They cheated me when I purchased dedicated hosting, and now I have to start from scratch with another hosting provider.
Namecheap provides cost-effective hosting services. As I am not too tech-savvy. Their control panel is very easy to use for beginners. Namecheap Hosting offers a solid foundation for all my websites. As per my observation till now, after Namecheap, I recommend you go with DedicatedCore and BlueHost. This one also offers such cost-effective services.
I have been hosting with them for years.. they have increased the price.. which i dont mind but the service has become absolutely horrible.. the service is not worth you time.. they block your email thinking its spam.. and apologize after 48 hours for blocking your mail by mistake and don't unblock you mail until you confirm you have not sent spam.. although they have admitted they made a mistake.. the company is a mess internally.. the staff are stone cold.. seems like they have robots working for them.. never again !
Utterly terrible. Don't even consider a purchase from namecheap. They stole money from me, didn't give me the service i paid for and wouldn't refund me! After 10 emails back and forward they just kept copying and pasting the same 3 line script they had in front of them. It is entirely within their policy that they can suspend your site for any reason they see fit and not ever refund you. Absolute scam. And beyond terrible customer service.
I've been with NC for almost 10 years now. They were the only hosting company, I could find, that accepted PayPal as a payement, no credit card needed.
I'm no pro user and just have the value plan. It's only for my personal websites and very low traffic. Still, thru the Live Chat, every time I needed a question answered, I was in contact with someone and my questions answered within minutes.
Dunno the circumstances of the others' bad experiences but for me, it's 5 stars.
NameCheap has a very faulty security system that routinely locks people's accounts and then demands their Social Security Number, a picture of the credit card used to pay, and then a picture of the person holding the card, and then finally a picture of the bank account statement showing the transaction. If you don't provide all of these, your domain is locked and you risk losing your domain name after they release it back to the public. Their customer service department is very slow and bad. It takes days for someone to look at your situation. Avoid this company and bring your business elsewhere.
