Based in the US, page4 provides an advanced, yet user-friendly website-builder for everything from a personal blog and photography website to a professional company website.
The page4 website is fairly informative and available in both English and German. The website builder’s interface is also available in English and German, depending on the language you choose upon registration.
Features and Ease of Use
Whether you register for a free or paid plan, the next step is to choose the right template for your website. With page4, there are just a little over 40 different templates you can choose from to fit your style.
Don’t worry if you change your mind about the template later on in the editing process as you can change the template anytime. Nothing is set in stone with page4’s editor.
Before digging into the content of your website, page4 allows you to adjust the layout of your website through a user-friendly drag-and-drop editor. This allows you to put all the content into place in a more organized manner.
Any layout and template you go with, know that it’ll look good on any device (mobile, tablet, laptop, etc.) with page4’s Responsive Designs active-bar.
All of page4’s plans allow you to embed external videos, widgets, apps, and social media share and social media follow links (social media integration).
All plans also come with the basic functions including unlimited pages, integrated blog, HTML5 compliance, customizable contact sheets, calendar/counter, guestbook, and much more.
There’s an included domain with all the paid plans, f0r a small additional fee.
Pricing and Support
There are four different price plans offered by page4 including a Free plan and three paid plans – Light, Premium, and Professional. These plans mainly differ in storage, traffic, and availability of premium features (e.g. advanced SEO settings, embedded Google Analytics, the ability to upload 500 images simultaneously, and more).
Both the Premium and Professional plans come with both the basic and premium features. The Free and Light plans include only the basic features.
The Free plan comes with all the basic features, 0.25 GB of storage, and 1 GB of traffic. There is no fixed duration for the free plan. In other words, it’s not a free trial.
When compared to other website builders in its tier, page4 provides reasonably priced packages that you can subscribe to annually. The prices are displayed in either US dollars or euros, depending on the language you choose for the website.
There’s a helpful Knowledgebase on the website containing articles and tutorials on most major topics.
You can contact the customer support through a contact form. You should expect a response within 24 hours, except on weekends. I used the form on the website and the one in the editor to send some questions, but I didn’t get an answer until the writing of this review.
