Nonetheless, you can build your website from scratch using innovative content blocks, which are arguably one of Cubender’s best features.

All websites built on the Cubender platform will look fantastic on any device, whether on a desktop or on mobile. The available preview feature lets you see any changes you’ve made during the building process.

Cubender does not offer a custom domain. If you need a unique domain, you would have to buy one from a domain registrar and you’d also need another vendor in case you want to use your domain as your email address. These are things you would have to do on your own, so it is worthwhile to bear this in mind.

Nonetheless, the blog builder works just fine and lets you easily create a blogging space onto which you can post chronological entries and integrate Disqus and Facebook for comments.

E-commerce: Cubender’s eCommerce function is only available on the most expensive plan, so you would need to upgrade if you want to set up a digital storefront. With your online store, you can manage inventory and display products. On the downside, the only way you can accept payment is through Stripe integration—this is obviously limiting because customers may need to pay using other methods.

SEO: This builder offers basic search optimization to help make your website visible on popular search engines, including Google and Bing. You can also integrate social media elements on your site and for marketing and communication purposes, build a powerful submission form using the form builder tool.

Right from the get-go, Cubender was built with simplicity in mind. Like most modern site builders, it features an easy to use editor that does not require programming experience. I was able to build a website in less than an hour just by dragging and dropping three blocks containing the elements I needed the most on my website. I only needed to edit the content in the blocks, and my site was all set! Building a fully functional website doesn’t get easier than this.

The best part is that most of the blocks feature predefined styles, so you don’t need to fret about any back-end work, layout, or design issues—it is all done for you.

Fast Response but More Immediate Support Is Needed

Cubender claims that its personalized tech support and customer service is what sets it apart from other website builders. The tech support team can be reached using a contact form available on their website. When I contacted Cubender, I received a response in less than 24 hours, which was quite impressive.

Even in such cases, the availability of Cubender’s so-called personalized service is not very apparent, as the only way to contact them is through the contact form. Site builders nowadays typically offer customer support channels like phone, live chat, and email, but Cubender lacks these options.

Unfortunately, Cubender’s social media profiles on Twitter, Facebook and Google don’t seem to be regularly updated, so these may not be the best ways to contact them.

On the upside, there is a comprehensive self-help knowledgebase with tutorials, articles, and answers to common questions to get you up to speed with the builder.

Great Features at Pocket-Friendly Prices

Cubender offers four paid plans. Venus is the entry-level plan, which comes with a branded Cubender URL, 500MB storage, unlimited bandwidth, and a completely ad-free website.

The Earth plan gets you up to 1000MB storage, unlimited bandwidth, and a blog, and you can connect your own domain.

The third tier is Saturn, which comes with everything on the Earth plan, plus 2000MB storage and a form builder.

Lastly, upgrading to the Jupiter plan gives you access to all the features of the Saturn plan plus 5000MB storage and an online store, if you are looking to sell products on your website.
