Cabanova is a German website builder service targeting small and medium businesses that want to create professional, dynamic websites on low budgets. The first version of the Cabanova site builder was launched in 2001. It’s now gone through several iterations and much R&D: today, it boasts many features such as a powerful image processor, full e-commerce functionality, social media integration, and much more.

You can try out the website builder for yourself without an account: clicking on the “Try Cabanova now” button takes you to the browser-based drag-and-drop editor which looks vaguely reminiscent of the online version of Microsoft Word. After viewing a short tutorial, it’ll direct you to select a theme from the 1000+ available so you can start customizing and adding content. From a drop-down menu at the top, you can add extra pages, insert page features like forms, videos, or photo galleries, or perhaps tweak the SEO elements. When you’re satisfied with how everything looks, go back to the “File” tab and click “Publish online,” at which point you’ll need to create an account to officially launch your site. The website builder then takes your input into account and produces a fully mobile-responsive website coded in HTML5 (the latest version of the web programming language used to present content on the World Wide Web).

You don’t need to fork out any money to publish your site, but if you want to remove Cabanova’s on-page advertising or get a custom domain name, you’ll have to upgrade to a paid account. Cabanova’s bestselling Economy plan comes with 2 gigs of storage space, a custom domain, up to 20 pages, unlimited traffic, and up to 3 items allowed in your e-store. If you’re planning on starting an e-commerce site, we’d recommend the Shop plan, which allows up to 10,000 products and an unlimited number of created pages.

If you are uncertain whether Cabanova is the right choice for you, we recommend reading our comprehensive overview of the best website builders to explore alternative options.

Reliabe for 15 years

I found Cabanova while working on my MSM in IT in 2004. It's now 2020! Cabanova met data requirements and artistic requirements so I could be lazy and have a functional site. I love it. It was fast and simple since my studio and other demands in life didn't permit me to waste my own time. The only issue is payment outside of USA and slow load times for Java. Java is expiring this year on some platforms, so I'm not certain what I will do. Cabanova for mobile is a little difficult to use in the builder. And, storage space is limited. However, I also had client sites go to Cabanova when platforms like GoDaddy were failing those who asked me for help. I think it's a matter of censorship within some USA companies and targeted hacking that took out sites. So, it's been a long haul. My basic site is still up. And, it's been functional for 15 years. I have to say, I don't like to change what works for me as a musician, piano instructor, and consultant on the fly.

Lost my money

I paid for 12 months worth of site builder with domain name and the domain name failed to register and cabanova logged me out of the website, I send them 2 emails but the did not reply. Payment lost with not service. I cannot believe the terrible service and lack of response from cabanova, I suspect it is a scam site.
