Web4ce was established in 2004, and it provides web design, domain registration, shared hosting, reseller hosting, virtual private servers (VPS), dedicated servers, and housing services to clients in the Czech Republic. Its data center is located in Prague and its website is available in Czech.
Features and Ease of Use
Web4ce has seven shared server plans. Six are for web hosting, while the seventh is specifically for email services. They all have the following features:
- 99% uptime guarantee
- 100MB to 100GB disk space
- Unlimited bandwidth
- Daily automatic backups
- Unlimited domains
Web4ce provides clients with free SSL certificates on all of its shared plans, which helps to protect data shared on the internet. A secured website also has a better chance of ranking well on Google.
For added security, there is an anti-spam filtering tool and an antivirus protection tool. Your inbox will be kept free from a great percentage of spam emails and your account will be protected from threats of viruses and spyware.
All plans support MySQL databases with higher plans supporting a combination of MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.
The vendor supports PHP programming language. Many popular content management systems are based on PHP, so you can install applications, including WordPress and Magento on its servers. You will have to to do that by uploading the files through your FTP and creating and connecting databases. It doesn’t provide automatic installation.
It supports automatic script execution with Cron. You can schedule a cron job on your account to run on a specific day and time.
Pricing and Support
Web4ce has cheap hosting plans that are advertised at monthly rates, but its subscription periods are for one year, two years, five years, and ten years with discounts when you subscribe for more than one year.
You can make payments through bank transfer and postal money orders. We create accounts immediately upon receiving the payment.
Web4ce offers a shared plan that is completely free, but it is limited to very simple websites that don’t need more than 100MB storage and won’t use PHP. On a brighter note, it offers a 14-day free trial on all paid plans.
Support is available on weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM via phone and email. It also has a frequently asked questions (FAQ) page with tutorials on its website. I contacted its support agents and received a reply shortly after.
