Overview

thrusthost-mine1
According to its Facebook page, Bangladesh-based Thrusthost has been in the hosting business since 2012. This vendor offers a selection of affordably-priced hosting products, including traditional web hosting, VPS, dedicated servers, and RDP (remote desktop) hosting.

Thrusthost’s servers are located in the Netherlands, the U.S.A, and Germany. Its English-language website is clean and clear, but the knowledge base appears to be broken.

Features and Ease of Use

Here’s a summary of the features provided by Thursthost’s shared hosting plans:

  • cPanel control panel
  • One-click app installer
  • Free SSL certificates
  • Free site migration
  • Up to unlimited databases
  • SSD storage

The cPanel control panel includes an application installer for all your favorite applications, including WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal. If you’re not starting from scratch, and you have an existing website with another host, you can take advantage of the free website transfer with no downtime.

Thrusthost sells four levels of shared hosting: Mini, Basic, Standard, and Advanced.

The smallest Mini subscription comes with 2 GB disk space, 25 GB bandwidth, and 2 MySQL databases. It doesn’t include subdomains or parked domains, so it’s more suitable for beginners. However, even newbies might not get enough from the Mini plan, in which case the Basic plan provides you with 5 GB disk space, 60 GB bandwidth, 5 subdomains, 5 parked domains, and 5 MySQL databases.

The Standard subscription supplies you with slightly more resources for hosting personal websites: 10 GB web space, 150 GB bandwidth, 10 subdomains, 10 parked domains, and 10 MySQL databases. The highest Advanced plan includes 20 GB storage space, 300 GB bandwidth, unlimited subdomains, unlimited parked domains, and unlimited MySQL databases. Despite some unlimited features, medium-sized business owners or professional webmasters with multiple websites might find the storage capacity to be too limiting.

All our shared hosting packages are powered by servers that use super-fast and reliable SSD storage. Additionally, our premium hosting packages come with free 256-bit SSL certificates to ensure enhanced security for your website.

Pricing and Support

Thrusthost’s hosting plans are a little pricey for the small disk space and tight bandwidth on offer. However, the VPS plans provide generous HDD and SSD storage and at a relatively low cost. You can see the plan prices displayed in euros or U.S. dollars, and you get a 30-day money-back guarantee that allows you to get out within the first few weeks if you’re not entirely happy.

Although Thrusthost promises 24/7 support via various channels, my pre-sales exploratory email went unanswered. This wouldn’t be so bad if there were sufficient self-support resources, but the knowledge base appears to be broken:

Thrusthost REVIEW: BOTTOM LINE

There can be no doubt that Thrusthost provides plenty of perks such as free SSL certificates, SSD storage, various kinds of hosting, a generous refund window, and some unlimited features on the higher plans. What I’m not so sure about is the limited disk space and lack of self-support resources.

Pros

  • 30-day money-back guarantee
  • Servers in several countries
  • Free website migration
  • Free SSL certificates

Cons

  • Unresponsive support
  • Low disk space
