Website hosting company SoftHostPlus has offices in Florida (USA), São Paulo (Brazil), and London (U.K.). It was founded in 2015, and it has a modern, easy-to-use website which is available in English.
Features and Ease of Use
SoftHostPlus offers a range of hosting services, including shared hosting, dedicated servers, VPS packages, and domain name registration. As standard, its shared hosting plans come with these core features:
- 99.99% uptime guarantee
- Backup and restore
- Domain registration available
- Up to 15 databases
- SSL certificates available
- Unlimited bandwidth
- Up to 2 GB disk space
All of the shared hosting plans come with the popular cPanel control panel. Its easy-to-use interface includes website building tools plus features for managing email accounts and databases.
Although SoftHostPlus website indicates a 99.99% uptime guarantee, there is nothing in the terms or the SLA to tell us what compensation they may pay in the event of excessive downtime. What concerns me more is that some sections of the vendor’s website contain dummy text, so it feels incomplete in places.
Pricing and Support
The lower-tier plans are very cheap, but the provided 500 MB of disk space is likely to be too little for all but the smallest websites. For more meaningful storage, you’d have to purchase one of the two more expensive higher-tier plans. You’ll also have to factor in the extra costs of a domain name and SSL certificate. Unfortunately, there is no money-back guarantee and no free trial, so you have to take a leap of faith when signing up.
Unless I’m mistaken, it seems to be impossible to contact this company before making a purchase. There is no advertised telephone number or email address as far as I can see, and the “Contact Us” link leads to a login page. Therefore, pre-sales support seems to be limited to a minimal knowledge base and a set of frequent questions populated with Latin placeholder text:
