Spanish web hosting company Servycompu International was founded in 2003. It offers Linux web hosting, DNS hosting, and domain registration services to individual customers and enterprises. Technical support is accessible round-the-clock via multiple channels, and Servycompu’s basic-but-functional website is in English and Spanish.
Features and Ease of Use
Although Servycompu International offers low-cost web hosting solutions, it still maintains high-quality features and tools, including:
- cPanel control panel
- Domain registration
- Unlimited emails
- MySQL databases
- PHP support
- Webmail, IMAP, POP3
- FTP accounts
- Cron jobs
- Unlimited FTP accounts
The cPanel control panel helps you create and manage your websites. You can set up Webmail or create databases using phpMyAdmin. The Softaculous installer lets you run more than 100 scripts for CMS applications such as Drupal, WordPress, and Magento. I also found it really easy to build a website using the free site builder tool that includes lots of templates.
With shared hosting plans, you won’t receive SSD storage, but I must say, the speed is quite impressive regardless. Rest assured, you do have the advantage of website backups.
Pricing and Support
Servycompu offers new customers a limited 24-hour free trial of its hosting services, which is nowhere near enough in my opinion, but it will give you a glimpse of the admin panel and its supported features.
When it comes time to pay, you’ll find that the hosting packages are some of the cheapest you will see. The lower packages provide decent features that increase in terms of storage, databases, and bandwidth as you move up the price spectrum. You can easily move between the plans with little-to-no downtime.
You can pay for Linux hosting packages using PayPal or credit/debit cards, with no hidden charges or setup costs on most of the plans. You can cancel with a full refund within 30 days of signing up, but this excludes domains and dedicated servers.
You can contact Servercompu for 24/7 technical support via telephone, SMS, or online contact form, and I’m pleased to say that I received a pretty rapid response to my initial approach. It’s a good thing that the support team is so responsive because the self-support knowledge base contains only a handful of articles.
