Argentinian web hosting services provider RAMDE is based in La Boca (Buenos Aires), and its servers sit in a world-class Canadian data center. Its Spanish language website is somewhat dysfunctional; the prices don’t display properly and you can’t actually purchase its plans online. While the website doesn’t say when the company was established, I can tell you that it started Tweeting in 2010 (and stopped in 2016).
Features and Ease of Use
RAMDE offers four shared hosting plans, four reseller hosting plans, eight streaming plans (four for audio and four for video), four VPS plans, and seven dedicated servers. Although the website has a tab for dedicated servers, this simply leads back to the home page.
The shared hosting plans provide you with:
- Multilingual cPanel control panel
- 1 GB to 10 GB disk space
- 6 GB to 20 GB bandwidth
- Unlimited email accounts
- Unlimited databases, subdomains, and FTP accounts
- PHP
- Antivirus
To populate your site, the Fantastico auto-installer allows you to install more than 50 web applications for blogs, forums, e-commerce, image galleries, guest books, and more. Once your website is up-and-running, the daily backups will help you restore in the event of a data disaster, and you can also perform backups manually from your control panel.
The web statistics (complete with graphics) provide useful insights into your web traffic, such as the number of visitors, their locations, and how much time they spend engaged with your content.
You can expect 99.9% uptime, which is around the industry average.
Besides its website hosting services, RAMDE also offers audio and video streaming services and penetration testing solutions.
Pricing and Support
RAMDE’s shared hosting plans are competitively priced in U.S. dollars, and you can pay by PayPal, credit card, and other methods such as Rapipago. You supposedly get a free .com.ar domain, but I couldn’t find any additional details.
This provider’s policy page mentions a three-month minimum billing period, but the problem is that none of the plans can actually be bought because the “Buy” buttons lead back to the home page.
RAMDE offers remote support via TeamViewer but there are no self-support resources as far as I can see. To make matters worse, the only contact method, at least for pre-sales, appears to be via an email address (from which I received no reply):
