Osoite is a Finnish web hosting company that was formed in the year 2000. The veteran hosting provider offers an array of hosting solutions that include shared hosting, domain registration, VPS hosting, and dedicated servers. The vendor has only recently begun offering VPS hosting and dedicated servers but says it is committed to maintaining the high quality that its customers have come to expect from it. The Osoite website is only available in Finnish.
Features and Ease of Use
Osoite hosting solutions come with the following standard features:
- Linux and Windows OS platforms
- PHP5, Perl, and ASP support
- Free domain
- One-click installer
- Email address
- SSH access
Osoite claims that it invests all of its proceeds into company development in an effort to guarantee high-quality hosting to all of its customers. The vendor’s server hardware is hosted in certified data center facilities that are monitored round the clock 365 days every year.
Osoite’s most basic hosting package is Webhotel S, which is designed for individuals and small businesses. The package can be upgraded or certain features added at a fee as the user’s needs change. It comes with 200MB disk space and one email address.
The vendor’s most advanced shared web hosting solution is the Webhotel L package. It comes with 10GB disk space, 200 email addresses, and 20 subdomains.
Osoite also has another special hosting package that it calls Xclusive, and it is designed for big enterprises. It comes with 20GB disk space, 200 email addresses, 15 MySQL databases, and five subdomains.
Osoite’s dedicated server solutions can operate on both Linux and Windows OS platforms. They come with an unlimited 100Mbps internet connection. On the other hand, the vendor’s VPS solutions are powered by the latest cloud technology and use the unique Data Center on Demand (DCoD™) platform.
Pricing and Support
While Osoite’s hosting solutions might seem quite cheap at first glance, a closer look reveals that this might not be so. The vendor’s hosting packages come with very few features with the vendor charging extra for each extra feature a user would want to add to their plan.
What’s more, the lower prices only apply for the first year; prices shoot up significantly for all plans in the second year. The prices on this vendor’s website are listed in euros.
Osoite does not appear to offer a money-back guarantee or a network uptime guarantee.
You can get in touch with Osoite by calling their support team or sending them an email. They haven’t set up a ticketing system or live chat option on their website, and they also don’t have a knowledge base. Unfortunately, I sent them an email query, but I received no reply.
