Founded back in 1998, NIC Hosting (also known as Nic.sk) is a Slovak hosting company specializing in shared hosting, WordPress hosting, VPS hosting, cloud hosting, and dedicated servers. All its servers are located in Slovakia.
The NIC Hosting website is only available in Slovak, and all prices are shown in euros. The site is somewhat disorganized and hard to navigate – so finding the right hosting solution might require some digging.

NIC Hosting offers four shared hosting plans. You can roughly translate the names to Mini, Foundations, Classic 3 Multi, and Maxi 5 Multi. These plans vary mainly in storage, email accounts, databases, and domains. However, they all have the following features in common:

The disk space across all shared hosting plans ranges between 1.5 GB and 100 GB, suitable for small to medium websites with medium to slightly heavy traffic. You can also host from one to five sites, depending on your package.
NIC Hosting provides automatic daily backups to safeguard your data and both paid and free SSL certificates. It also protects your emails with antivirus and antispam.
The one-click application installer enables you to easily install popular platforms like WordPress, Drupal, OpenCart, and Prestashop with just one click.
Pricing and Support
Compared with other web hosting services in its tier, NIC Hosting’s shared hosting packages are quite cheap. You can choose annual or triennial billing.
NIC also offers a one-month refund for new hosting subscriptions. However, this doesn’t apply to domain registration, SSL services, or other web-related services.
You can reach out to NIC Hosting customer support via email or phone, available from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Monday through Friday and 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on weekends. I didn’t find a live chat or ticketing system on its website, and I never got a response to my email request.
