Israel-based Linux Hosting was founded in 2009 to provide a range of hosting solutions, including shared hosting, reseller hosting, VPS hosting, and website building. Over the years, this provider has managed to set up server locations in almost every continent.
Linux Hosting’s Hebrew-language website is informative and attractive, but it gets a bit messy when translated into English. All prices are displayed in Israeli new shekels.
Features and Ease of Use
Linux Hosting sells three shared hosting subscriptions with disk storage ranging from 250 MB up to 20 GB. The common features are:
- Unlimited bandwidth
- 99.99% uptime guarantee
- DTC control panel
- Daily backups
- Software installer
- SSH access
Although you can get my preferred cPanel control panel for an additional fee, the provided DTC control panel seems suitable enough for managing all aspects of your website hosting. Via its user-friendly interface, you can manage your website files, FTP accounts, backup intervals, email accounts, domains, and more.
The control panel includes an application installer that does the same jobs as Softaculous; allowing you to install CMS and other apps such as WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, PrestaShop, TYPO3, phpBB, Magento, more.
With SSH access, you get complete control of your server, and you can log in from anywhere in the world.
Pricing and Support
When compared with other players in the international market, Linux Hosting’s prices are relatively affordable. You can pay for plans monthly via various methods, including credit/debit cards. You get a 14-day cool-off period which gives you two weeks to change your mind.
Although you should be able to contact this company via telephone, email, or live chat (via Facebook), I failed to summon any pre-sales support responses. For self-support, Linux Hosting provides a knowledge base, but it doesn’t seem to be organized into any kind of hierarchy.
