Dutch website hosting provider IDFNV was founded in 1998. It provides a range of hosting services on servers located around the world, and its website is in English and Dutch.
Features and Ease of Use
IDFNV sells a range of hosting services, from shared hosting to streaming and dedicated servers. As standard, its hosting plans come with the following core features:
- 99.9% uptime guarantee
- Backup options (available for purchase)
- Domain registration
- Up to unlimited add-on domains
- Free SSL certificates
- Unlimited traffic and up to 250 GB disk space
Hosting accounts are managed via the DirectAdmin control panel rather than the more popular cPanel, but it’s not a big deal since you can still do pretty much the same things.
Although IDFNV focuses on cheap hosting, it achieves this by cutting a few corners; for example, by using HDD storage rather than the far faster, more reliable (and more expensive) SSD storage.
You don’t get a choice of server locations with shared hosting, but you do get this choice with a dedicated server or VPS. The locations include (but are not limited to) the Netherlands, the United States, the United Kingdom, Poland, Russia, and Singapore.
Pricing and Support
IDFNV’s website describes it as a cheap web hosting provider. I’d say that its prices are in line with competitors. While you get a free SSL certificate with a higher-tier plan, you’ll have to pay extra for a domain name. The short two-hour money-back time (yes, really) won’t make you feel much better about having to sign up for a one- or two-year term.
You can access 24/7 support through various contact channels like telephone, ticket, email, Skype, or online form, but I had trouble reaching them via Skype. Unfortunately, there’s no publicly-available knowledge base, so self-support resources seem limited to a blog that hasn’t been updated since 2018.
