Based on their own experiences in 2006, Hosting-Mexico was established in 2007 to bridge the gap and provide quality services at a reasonable price with friendly support and a practical interface. Over the past 11 years, they’ve stayed true to their vision offering shared hosting, cloud hosting, and reseller solutions with a quality of service that proves them as one of the trusted hosting companies. Currently one of the largest in Mexico with high-quality infrastructure, their servers are located in a data center in the United States.
Features and Ease of Use
You can host both large and small business websites on Hosting-Mexico. If you want the traditional shared hosting, they offer four plans that provide the following features:
- 99.5% uptime
- Automated weekly backups
- Up to 100GB disk space
- Between 10GB to 1,000GB monthly transfer
- Free SSL on cloud hosting
They use CloudLinux technology in their shared servers to ensure better stability than there is on basic shared servers. CloudLinux divides the server to keep each user sharing a space to their own paid resources without affecting others. Another plus which I particularly like is the CloudFlare CDN. What it does is distribute a version of your content across a content distribution network; this adds more security to your website and faster load time for visitors.
Unlike many hosting providers that put a limit to the number of MySQL databases you can have, Hosting-Mexico doesn’t. On all plans, the MySQL databases are unlimited. However, they do not provide much support for other advanced tools. While they do support different versions of PHP, most other hosting providers do as well. If you have a preference for Python or Perl, you’ll have to look elsewhere.
The plus side is that they offer great features for e-commerce businesses. As your business grows, you can upgrade to the Ultimate plan, which provides 100GB of space and nearly 1TB of monthly transfer. Although most websites or online stores won’t require that much, if you need more, you can opt for a cloud hosting plan that offers up to 240 SAN disk space and 4TB of transfer.
To make things better, they provide Softaculous auto installer which can be used to install the web applications you want for your website or store. That’s not the only beginner-friendly tool they offer; they include the Weebly website builder on every shared hosting plan free. With it, you can drag and drop the design of your website. They also support RVsitebuilder, if you prefer it.
Pricing and Support
Both the cloud VPS and shared hosting plans are low priced, which is surprising given the robust resources such as high-quality servers, CloudFlare CDN, and CloudLinux to make your hosting experience great. You don’t get a free domain registration, but you get a free SSL certificate on the Cloud hosting plans.
There are no free plans, but you can test any of the plans to see if they’re right for you with an assurance of their 30-day money-back guarantee. In addition, you can scale your plans up at any time, providing you meet their requirements.
Their customer support is 24/7. You can reach them via live chat, email, ticket, or a toll-free phone number. From my experience, the customer support team is highly responsive and helpful. You can also use the knowledge base for self-support.
