Spanish company Hispamax Technology has more than 15 years of experience in the I.T. sector. Its services include shared hosting, VPS hosting, web design and development, mobile application development, SSL certificates, and audio/video streaming servers.
Hispamax’s servers are located in Spanish and American data centers. Its website is available in Spanish.
Features and Ease of Use
The four shared hosting plans provide these features:
- 99.9% uptime guarantee
- Unlimited bandwidth
- 250 MB to 5 GB disk space
- Automatic backups
All packages provide unlimited email accounts and MySQL databases. While the company also supports CGI scripts and PHP programs, there are limits on how many of each you can run at the same time, and you run the risk of your account being suspended. Programs like phpNuke and phpBB, which consume a lot of resources, are not allowed at all.
Hosting accounts are managed via the popular cPanel control panel, and the underlying CentOS Linux operating system reduces the risk of system crashes by running only stable software versions. Although Hispamax performs automatic backups (presumably for disaster recovery purposes), customers are encouraged to carry out their own backups in order to roll back to specific website versions.
If shared hosting doesn’t cut it for your needs, you can go for a fully managed VPS that offers unlimited domains, dedicated IP addresses, and SSH root access. You get to choose between the cPanel, Plesk, or DirectAdmin control panels.
Pricing and Support
Hispamax’s shared hosting plans are designed for individuals and small businesses, but — for the features on offer — the four packages could be too expensive for the target audience. You can pay by bank transfer or credit/debit card, but you have to submit an order request before signing up on monthly, quarterly, semiannual, or annual billing cycles.
Contact the company by telephone (during Spanish working hours on weekdays), email, or live chat. Unfortunately, live chat always appears to be offline, and my exploratory email went unanswered.
