GEXHOST began its web hosting journey over 15 years ago. It clearly states that its vision is to provide affordable and reliable ASP.NET and PHP hosting services to both individuals and business professionals. GEXHOST provides shared hosting, domain registration, website transfer, backup and restoration, malware scans, and SSL certificates with dedicated IPS services. It has a data center located in the United States and its website is in English.
Features and Ease of Use
GEXHOST offers shared hosting that’s suitable for simple websites. These are some of the features on offer:
- 99.9% uptime guarantee
- Daily automatic backups
- From 200MB to an unmetered disk space
- From 2GB to an unmetered bandwidth
With this host provider, you’ll have the option to choose between six plans, four of which come with MySQL, while the other two (precisely the smallest and largest plans) come with MsSQL databases.
GEXHOST offers FTP accounts, email accounts, and subdomains of an unlimited number on all shared plans. It doesn’t offer beginner-friendly features like a one-click installer and website builder which would have been great.
On the footer of the website, GEXHOST has shared plans that are named after seven different cities in Pakistan. These plans are said to be targeted at businesses in those cities and optimized with speed for those environments. However, a click on them shows that they are the same as the regular shared plans.
Pricing and Support
The website states that the prices are highly affordable, listing them at annual rates in both Pakistani rupees and US dollars.
Its billing cycle and billing methods are not listed on the website. To make an order, you will need to fill out a form indicating the plan you want. However, only the Linux plans are available for selection on the form. After submitting the form, customer support will process your order and contact you for payment.
Within 30 days of subscribing, you are allowed to request a refund if you are not pleased with the service. It also offers free domain registration on all plans.
Support is available through phone, contact form, and Facebook Messenger. I filled out and submitted the contact form, but I never received a reply.
