Israeli web hosting company DRP was founded in 2005. Today, it offers a wide range of Linux and Windows hosting solutions (including shared hosting), WordPress hosting, reseller hosting, VPS hosting, dedicated servers, domain registration, SSL certificates, and website design/development.
This vendor’s website is in Hebrew, and all prices are presented in Israeli new shekels.
Features and Ease of Use
DRP offers Linux and Windows shared hosting, each with four price plans that vary in terms of storage and databases, but with the Linux plans providing slightly more storage capacity than the Windows plans.
Regardless of operating system, what the plans have in common is:
- Unlimited bandwidth
- Unlimited domains
- Unlimited FTP accounts
- Free domain
- SSL support (certificates sold separately)
- PHP support
- Control panel
- Daily backups
When it comes to control panels, I usually prefer cPanel, but the provided Plesk (for Windows) and DirectAdmin (for Linux) control panels do pretty much the same job of letting you manage your FTP accounts, email accounts, website files, databases, domains, backup intervals, and more. Plesk is more user-friendly than DirectAdmin, and it includes an application installer for additional programs such as WordPress, so it’s a shame this isn’t the control panel of choice for the Linux hosting plans.
Pricing and Support
DRP offers quite high prices for the features on offer, but they price the Windows and Linux plans the same, which is unusual. You can choose to pay monthly, semi-annually, or annually, and you have the option to use PayPal, credit/debit card, phone credit, bank transfer, or Bitcoin for payment. As far as I know, there is no clear refund policy or money-back guarantee.
You should be able to contact this host via telephone, ticket, or email, but my ticket and email approaches went unanswered. This provider’s blog contains pretty generic I.T. industry new items, and there are no postings after 2016:
