DomHost offers cheap hosting solutions backed by reliable and superior support services to its clients based in India. The hosting provider started its operations in April, 2013. DomHost has three data center locations: the United States, the United Kingdom, and India. The vendor offers shared web hosting, VPS, and reseller hosting solutions. The DomHost website is only available in English
Features and Ease of Use
DomHost offers both Linux and Windows hosting solutions. Some of the standard features you can expect to find included in these packages are:
- Plesk Onyx, WHM, or cPanel control panels
- phpMyAdmin DB Manager
- PHP 5x Support
- Customizable Error Pages
- Password protected directories
- Daily backup
- 24/7 customer support
DomHost servers are housed in modern data centers located in the United States, the United Kingdom, and India. The vendor performs daily backups of its clients’ websites as part of any hosting plan they buy. That said, it still encourages clients to do and store their own backups for increased safety in case of a disaster.
DomHost shared web hosting solutions are available in two packages: Linux hosting and Windows hosting. Both of these offerings are available in four plans: Basic, Business, Premium, and Diamond. Basic is the starter package. It includes features like 1GB disk space, 10GB bandwidth, onr email ID, 5GB email storage space, and 1GB cloud storage. Diamond is the most advanced plan. It comes with 10GB disk space, 50GB bandwidth, five email IDs, 25GB email storage space, and 1GB cloud space.
DomHost also provides SSL certificates and Sitelock security solutions. However, customers need to request these services from the vendor through the control panel. The vendor does not provide much information about these additional security solutions available to its customers.
Pricing and Support
DomHost lives up to its promise to offer some of the cheapest hosting solutions in the industry. The prices are listed in Indian rupee and customers can make monthly, quarterly, or yearly payments. Once paid, the vendor maintains that the amount is not refundable; it has no refund policy. It also offers no network uptime guarantee.
DomHost technical support is available via telephone, email, ticketing system, or live chat. You can also contact them via their social media channels. The support desk is live 24/7 with an average response time of 15 to 30 minutes. Indeed, they responded to the support email I sent them in less than 20 minutes.
That said, the knowledge base is not very comprehensive even though it includes video tutorials.
