An ABGON Communications company, Chile-based Delta System was founded in 2007. Its website is in Spanish, but I also managed to get some pre-sales support in English. This host’s Facebook and Twitter profiles are inactive.
Features and Ease of Use
Delta System sells a range of hosting packages that include shared hosting, dedicated servers, and even VPN plans. The shared hosting plans provide the following features as standard:
- 99.9% uptime guarantee
- Domain registration available
- Up to four add-on domains
- Up to 3.5 GB disk space
- Unlimited monthly data transfer
Delta System offers a decent range of plans to suit a variety of different requirements. You can choose a standard Linux plan, an ASP plan (with support for .NET, PHP, and MySQL), or a WordPress plan. The WordPress plans come with some unique features, including malware monitoring and detection, a specialized control panel (with auto-installers), and automatic updates.
If you want SSD storage for disk read/write speeds up to ten times faster than HDD, you need to pick your plan carefully since they do not all come with SSD.
Pricing and Support
Unfortunately, Delta System’s prices are very high. Even the most basic plans, with one domain and 500 MB of disk space, are more expensive than I would expect to pay for the level of features. And you can expect to pay a premium for a WordPress plan.
As far as I can see, you can only sign up on annual terms (no monthly contracts), and there is no money-back period to make you feel better about doing so. The plethora of payment methods includes PayPal, Khipu, Flow Multicaja, CriptoMonedas, Western Union, or bank deposit.
There are also plenty of ways to contact this company: email, telephone, ticket, or live chat. My live chat question was answered immediately to confirm that Delta System uses a Tier III data center (so you should expect less than 1.6 hours of downtime per year).
If you search for self-support resources, you might be out of luck because the knowledge base is empty.
