Features and Ease of Use
BeOnline Web Solutions offers four different website hosting packages: Entry, Starter, Advance, and Expert. The packages include the following features as standard:
- 99.9% server uptime guaranteed
- Cloudflare protection
- Unlimited subdomains on all plans except Entry
- Unlimited MySQL databases on all plans except Entry
- Unlimited add-on domains on all plans except Entry
- DDoS protection
- Softaculous app installer
What I really like about BeOnline is the security inclusions in their packages. In all of their packages, including their entry-level plan, they include many security features such as Cloudflare, Spam Assassin and DDoS protection. It’s reassuring to know that even the cheapest packages are still highly secure.
Regrettably, setting up with BeOnline is not a straightforward process. Firstly, while their website is available in English, there is an abundance of content covering various services, which took me a considerable amount of time to navigate. Secondly, once I made the decision to make a purchase, it became clear that I couldn’t make the payment directly through their website. Instead, I had to contact the company via email to make the necessary arrangements, which is quite inconvenient for those who require immediate website hosting setup.
Pricing and Support
Although BeOnline is a Pakistani company, they use servers housed in America. Compared to other local web hosting companies, BeOnline’s rates are relatively expensive. However, compared to American hosting companies, their prices are reasonable.
BeOnline doesn’t offer any discounts for longer contracts. They only list annual rates for their web hosting plans. There is no month-to-month option, nor is there a free trial or a freemium option. There is, however, a 30-day money back guarantee and a pricing freeze policy, though they don’t provide any additional details on what this policy entails.
Their website states they have chat, phone, and email support available between 9AM and 11:30 PM on weekdays. However, when I contacted them during the day via live chat and Facebook messages, I didn’t get a response until two days later. In fact, I’ve revisited their website several times and their live chat is always offline. Unfortunately, their entire technical support system seems to be lacking: they don’t have a knowledge base, and their FAQ has less than a dozen articles, most of which cover payment.
