POS Pros connects businesses with the most suitable point-of-sale (POS) solution for their industry and needs. It features 26 partner brands, including names like Clover, Revel, SwipeSimple, and TouchBistro. Consultations and demos can help you identify the best system for your business and avoid costly purchases that lack essential features. That said, pricing isn’t as transparent as it could be.
There’s a lot to consider when choosing a POS system that aligns with your unique business needs, streamline your operations, and enhance your customers’ experience. Helping businesses make the right choice and avoid costly mistakes is what POS Pros promises. Based on customer reviews and complaints (which are few), it mostly succeeds in this area.
Unlike other popular POS providers that offer a limited selection of proprietary devices, POS Pros carries a wide selection of high-quality equipment from major brands: Clover, Revel, SwipeSimple, and Lightspeed, to name a few. These complete POS systems, terminals, mobile devices, and accessories are suitable for different industries – retail, restaurant, health care, hospitality, and more.
POS Pros also offers appropriate software for different use cases, such as Touch Bistro for restaurant management, Booker for salons and spas, and Member Leap for associations.
While POS Pros only sells point-of-purchase products if packaged with its payment processing services, it offers a range of pricing models that make it an attractive option. You can choose from competitively priced interchange plus, tiered pricing, and cash discount plans. All plans are month-to-month with no cancellation fees.
E-commerce merchants and those who sell services and products in person and online can add either the Authorize.net or NMI payment gateways/virtual terminals for a small monthly fee.
That said, I do wish there were more information readily available about software and hardware costs, as well as payment processing plans and fees. A lack of transparency could be detrimental to an otherwise great service.

Features
Custom POS Hardware and Software
During an initial consultation, your POS Pros advisor will ask about and evaluate your business’s unique needs, considering its type, size, number of locations, and monthly sales volume so your advisor can put together a comprehensive package. If you’re new to payment processing, this could help you avoid a lot of headaches down the road.
POS Pros will offer several suitable POS solutions to help you increase efficiency and profitability. These feature-rich countertop systems, compact terminals, handheld devices, and mobile options are state-of-the-art, PCI-compliant, and come with robust security tools.
Comprehensive POS Systems for a Range of Industries
Many providers will offer stand-alone POS systems and leave it to you to add the features and functionality for your business. POS Pros, on the other hand, goes the extra mile when configuring your system. Itrecommends appropriate software, e-commerce tools, apps, and accessories for full functionality right out of the box.
POS Pros offers industry-specific and multipurpose solutions, including complete countertop stations, compact terminals, portable handheld devices, novel iPad-based solutions, and the latest cell phone POS technology. Because it offers so many options, there’s likely to be a POS solution that fits your needs and budget.
Seamless integration of POS equipment with various payment processing models allows POS Pros to further customize the all-in-one systems it provides. You can process online, in-store, and self-service payments, manage your business operations, and generate reports on all your sales activity from your POS Pros account.
E-commerce merchants and businesses that take payments online can use the trusted Authorize.net or NMI payment gateways. Both allow you to accept various payment methods, including all credit cards, debit cards, digital wallets, and eChecks.
NMI may be the better choice if you work with a global clientele. It will allow you to accept payments in multiple currencies and via select international credit cards, including China UnionPay and JCB (Japan Credit Bureau). You’ll also be able to create QR code payment links, an added convenience your customers will appreciate.
POS Pros will charge you a discounted monthly fee of $7.95 for using the Authorize.net payment gateway and virtual terminal and $9.95 for NMI. Another option for accepting online payments is through PayPal, which POS Pros may recommend for associations that want simple, online payment functionality.
High-Quality Mobile and Tablet-Based POS
Businesses that want to process payments and access their accounts on the go have special requirements. POS Pros has many solutions to meet those needs, including mPOS terminals, mobile card readers, tablet-based solutions, and apps for iOS and Android.
Mobile-enabled POS systems offer flexibility, security, and cross-platform functionality across different devices. They allow you to securely accept customer payments and issue receipts from virtually anywhere with a wireless connection (or even offline, in some cases). POS Pros offers a wide selection of these, including solutions from Clover, SwipeSimple, and Square.
For example, suppose you have limited space and mobility is key. In that case, POS Pros experts may offer the compact Clover Mini, portable Clover Flex, Clover Mobile, and useful POS software like Touch Bistro. These POS options provide a convenient and efficient way to handle orders, process multiple payment types, and track sales wherever your business takes you.
Whether you’re processing payments tableside, selling at a festival, or operating a mobile pet grooming or car detailing business, POS Pros will recommend a niche solution with the necessary tools for effective management and enhanced customer service.
Choose Your Payment Solution and Get Paid Fast
POS Pros accepts the standard – and most widely used – payment methods, including credit and debit cards, digital wallets, ACH, and bank transfers. You can also process gift cards through its various POS offerings.
E-commerce businesses using Authorize.net can also accept eChecks and digital wallets (Apple Pay and PayPal).
While researching POS Pros, I learned that its standard payout time is much faster than those of competitors like Square and Shopify. No matter which package you select, POS Pros will deposit your funds into your bank account within 24 hours.

Ease of use
Fast and Easy Setup for New and Established Merchants
A user-friendly process takes merchants from online application and vetting to consultation and onboarding in as little as 24-48 hours.
Moreover, POS Pros offers personalized support to guide you through every step of the process. From selecting the right system to configuring it for your business needs, your POS Pros specialist’s expert assistance simplifies what could otherwise be a long process.
Getting Started With POS Pros
To get started, simply fill out an online form with information about your monthly processing volume, name, company name, email address, and phone number. You can also call during business hours to speak with a POS Pros sales advisor to begin the application process. Your sales advisor will be your point of contact from application to set up.
Free Consultations, Demos, and Training
An initial consultation with a POS Pros specialist to determine the features and type of POS system that matches your business is at the heart of POS Pros’ client-centered approach. After a deep dive into your needs and goals, POS Pros will offer you a selection of hardware solutions and a chance to set up virtual demos to explore each option.
What POS Pros promises – and delivers – are state-of-the-art systems with intuitive interfaces and straightforward integration. This allows you and your staff to quickly adapt to your new POS equipment with minimal disruption to your company’s operations.
Another perk POS Pros offers is free training to help you set up your hardware/software and get comfortable with its features. If you need additional help setting up your system or integrating popular tools you may already be using, like QuickBooks or a shopping cart, you can contact the technical help desk 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Analytics, Reporting, and Business Management Tools
You can access detailed sales reports from your POS system or virtual terminal, view customer data, create digital invoices, schedule recurring payments, and more. Whether countertop or mobile, all systems include standard features to manage your business, inventory, employees, and customers.
Your POS system will also come with niche tools for your business type. Retail businesses can take advantage of loyalty programs, Bluetooth-enabled cash drawers, and tax and shipping calculators. Restaurants and catering firms can have access to software that lets them edit menus, accept online orders, add tips to receipts, and email or text customers for reservations.

Pricing
Competitive but Variable Pricing
While POS Pros only sells point-of-purchase products if packaged with its payment processing services, it offers a range of pricing models that make it an attractive option. You can choose from competitively priced interchange plus, tiered pricing, and cash discount plans. All plans are month-to-month with no cancellation fees.
I’ve detailed the pricing my sales rep emailed below. Transaction fees vary depending on the payment method (credit card, debit card, digital wallet, ACH) and whether a transaction is made in person, online, or keyed in.
For an interchange plus plan, the standard rate is 0.30% + 10¢ (in-person) per transaction, but I was offered a discount rate of 0.30% + 5¢
$30.00 monthly for the cash discount plan that allows you to pass the credit card processing fees (4%) along to your customers.
For most businesses, the low transaction fees on POS Pros’ interchange-plus plan makes it the best option. On the other hand, businesses with slim margins that process many small transactions may want to consider cash discounting, which passes the processing cost along to customers.
While POS Pros may quote you slightly different pricing, my research shows that POS Pros’ pricing is affordable and can be substantially lower than that of its competitors. An example is Square, which charges 2.6% + 10 ¢ (in-person) and 2.9% + 30 ¢ (online) per transaction.
Unfortunately, you won’t find prices for the software and hardware POS Pros sells. You’ll have to confirm fees during your consultation. My sales advisor, for example, offered a discounted transaction fee for the interchange plus plan and said he would provide a free Clover Mini or Clover Flex terminal. Since Clover equipment is costly, this could mean substantial savings.
POS Pros claims that the limited available information on its site is due to its client-centered approach, but interested customers deserve more transparency.
Robust Fraud Protection and Security Keeps Data Safe
POS Pros offers a range of impressive security features to protect your business and your clients. These include advanced fraud detection to identify and manage suspicious transactions and secure customer data management to protect sensitive bank and card information.
As a service that helps businesses choose the right point-of-sale solution, POS Pros only recommends systems with robust security features. These include end-to-end encryption, tokenization, compliance with the highest PCI standards, and fraud detection mechanisms.
PCI Compliance & More
Both POS Pros and the systems, terminals, and mobile card readers it sells are Level 1 PCI certified. It offers impressive fraud protection and security features, minimizing breaches and helping build customer trust. In addition, POS Pros is also CCPA, GDPR, and HIPAA compliant, as are POS brands like Clover and Revel.
Additional Security Features
POS Pros offers robust security tools for both brick-and-mortar and e-commerce businesses. All payments made in person, online, or keyed in are securely transmitted and stored using end-to-end encryption and tokenization. They’re also subject to real-time fraud monitoring.
POS equipment, from complete systems to mobile card readers, is also state-of-the-art, allowing you to accept secure EMV chip and contactless mobile payment methods. Most POS equipment can also be set up with two-factor authentication and employee permissions.
Both Authorize.net and NMI offer advanced tools to screen and identify fraudulent transactions and help you avoid chargeback fees. These include address verification, device/browser detection, and card verification code (CVC).
Updated security patches, monthly vulnerability scans, and DDoS mitigation are other security features that keep your and your clients’ data safe.
Your POS Pros advisor will be able to answer questions about specific security features for your chosen POS solutions.

Customer Support
Sales-Focused and Not Always Helpful
Unless you’ve submitted an online “Let’s Get Started” form with your business name, monthly sales volume, phone number, and email, getting in touch with support can be challenging.
In part, that’s because POS Pros doesn’t offer live chat support. You’ll have to call between Monday to Friday during business hours, which I tried to do. After three calls, I was finally transferred to a sales advisor who said he would follow up with an email response to my questions. He never did.
Fortunately, I reached another specialist who was both helpful and responsive. He quickly emailed the information I requested and provided his personal number so I could call at my convenience.
Given the limited support options, it’s surprising to learn that POS Pros doesn’t have a knowledge base, blog, or other self-help resources on its website. Its parent company, Paysafe, has several resources, including a manual for developers. You will, however, find helpful descriptions of the specialized features of the available software and equipment.
Support will be much more reliable once you become a customer. POS Pros offers those with merchant accounts 24/7 support and self-help resources. A technical help desk is also on hand 24 hours per day to troubleshoot, answer questions about your equipment, or address any issues or problems you encounter.
