Wix Launches AI Assistant for Site and Business Management

Wix has launched Astro, a new AI-powered assistant for site and business management. Described as “a trusted guide,” Astro provides real-time support, insights, and suggestions for site operations and business decisions.

The assistant is available to all Wix and Wix Studio users in English, with support for additional languages expected soon. It’s built on generative AI and proprietary Wix technology to provide personalized assistance tailored to each website owner’s needs.

Astro is a chatbot-style assistant integrated across Wix’s dashboard. Users can communicate with it in natural language and get various business and back-office tasks done directly through its chat interface.

It features the largest skill collection in a single Wix assistant, “boasting hundreds of different skills and capabilities, with more added every day,” said Guy Sopher, Wix’s Head of the AI Platform Group, in a press release.

Astro’s capabilities include monitoring site performance, suggesting improvements, recommending automations, managing subscriptions and site permissions, generating creative material, and identifying growth opportunities.

“By streamlining workflows and simplifying access to essential tools, it empowers users to accomplish more in less time,” Sopher explains, adding “As they engage more deeply with the platform’s features, they can ultimately unlock greater opportunities for growth, visibility, and business success.”

Astro is the first in a series of AI agents that Wix plans to roll out. It builds on the company’s growing suite of AI tools, such as its recently introduced automation and customization features.

A few months ago, Wix also launched another AI-powered chatbot-style assistant, Wix AI Site-Chat, designed to provide a better site experience and personalized support.

With Astro’s release, Wix continues to enhance its platform with AI. The platform now offers an AI site builder that can create complete sites with content in minutes – making it one of the most AI-driven website builders on the market.
