Keliweb is a small hosting company that simply isn’t a match for big brands like Hostinger. The bigger hosting companies simply offer a better price for similar configuration.
With more than ten years’ experience and more than 25,000 worldwide clients, Italian web hosting provider Keliweb offers a wide range of hosting services such as shared hosting (for both Linux and Windows), VPS hosting, CMS hosting, dedicated servers, cloud hosting, reseller hosting, and domain registration.
Keliweb’s well-designed website is available in both English and Italian.
Features and Ease of Use
Two main types of hosting are offered, for Linux and Windows. There are four Linux plans (KeliUser, KeliPro, KeliCMS, and KeliSSL) and three Windows plans (KeliUser, KeliPro, and KeliSSL). These plans differ in terms of storage, databases, mailboxes, FTP accounts, and other aspects, but they all have the following features in common:
- SSD storage
- cPanel
- 99.99% uptime guarantee
- Free SSL certificates
- Unlimited bandwidth
- Site builder
With the exception to the cheapest KeliUser package, all shared hosting plans come with the Softaculous app installer that helps you install CMS applications such as WordPress, PrestaShop, Magento, Drupal, and Joomla with a single click.
The included user-friendly SiteBuilder website builder has a drag-and-drop interface and a set of ready-made templates to help you design your website without any special technical know-how.
Windows hosting plans come with the Plesk control panel which, aside from its website management capabilities, has its own CMS app installer that does the same job as Softaculous.
Pricing and Support
Keliweb’s prices are quite affordable compared with both European and international competitors, and you can pay for plans via various methods, including PayPal, credit cards, bank transfer, and Bitcoin. You have to sign up for at least a year, which seems somewhat risky since there is no clear refund policy, but you can get substantial discounts by signing up for two or three years.
You are supposed to be able to contact Keliweb’s 24/7 support team via telephone, ticket, email, or live chat. The bad news is that the live chat seems never to be available, and my support ticket received no response. The slightly better news is that there is a knowledge base for self-support:
How much does Keliweb cost?
Keliweb offers plans from $22 to $222. The price depends on which type of hosting plan you choose. You can see the updated pricing table (updated weekly) below.
Which Keliweb plan should I get?
My recommendation is to start with a cheaper plan. You can always upgrade later on. Keliweb can help you with the migration to a more expensive plan. The increase in visitors many times takes longer than expected and you shouldn’t pay a lot of money until the need arises. Of course, your needs may vary, and you can consult with a hosting expert from Keliweb here.
How good is Keliweb’s customer support?
Keliweb is not ranked as one of our top web hosts. But that can also be a result of Keliweb being a small, under the radar, hosting provider. There are advantages to a small hosting company – as a customer, you are more important to them. You can also check out our comparison of the most popular web hosting services here.
