SuiteDash CEO Mike Lambert: Tips From Building A 7-Figures SaaS

Roberto Popolizio Written by:
What does it take to build an online company that not only survives but thrives in today’s competitive marketplace? In this interview series by Website Planet, executives from successful digital companies reveal how they identified and solved the most urgent problems in their fields, the secrets that help them stand out even in the most competitive markets, and how they’re positioning themselves for the future.

Mike Lambert is the Founder and CEO of SuiteDash, a 7-figures SaaS platform that combines essential business tools into one cohesive system that now adopted by over 10,000 users. Before establishing SuiteDash, Lambert successfully managed a digital agency that worked with numerous clients.

Why is now the time for your company to exist? What are the most pressing pain points you solve, and what makes them more urgent now than ever?

Businesses, especially small and medium-sized ones, are facing unprecedented challenges in efficiency, scalability, and cost management. The rise of remote work, the need for digital transformation, and the proliferation of subscription-based, single-purpose software tools have created an overwhelming amount of complexity and costs for business owners.

SuiteDash addresses this by offering an “All-in-One Software” that consolidates multiple business functions—CRM, project management, invoicing, client portals, and more—into one affordable and integrated solution. We remove the headache of researching, setting up, learning, inter-connecting, and paying for an inefficient mixture of separate software tools.

The pressing pain points we solve include:

  1. Overwhelming software costs: Most software solutions are priced per user or per seat, which makes scaling expensive. SuiteDash’s unlimited pricing model removes the financial penalties of growth, allowing businesses to expand without worrying about escalating software expenses.
  2. Manual and repetitive tasks: Businesses lose valuable time on administrative tasks. SuiteDash’s automation features allow owners to streamline processes, freeing them up to focus on growth and strategy rather than mundane, repetitive tasks.
  3. The complexity of using multiple tools: With different tools for different tasks, integration issues arise, and businesses waste time trying to get them to work together. SuiteDash eliminates this by providing a full suite of essential business tools that are elegantly consolidated into a single pre-integrated and inter-automated platform
The urgency now is greater than ever because the modern business environment demands efficiency and cost-effectiveness. SuiteDash empowers businesses to stay competitive, streamline operations, and grow sustainably, all while maintaining flexibility and keeping costs under control.

What unique features and capabilities help you solve them in a better way than other solutions? Can you share metrics and examples that show the difference you’re making?

As a comprehensive All-in-One platform, SuiteDash covers a range of functions including CRM, client portals, onboarding, project management, file storage, proposals, invoicing, client portals, email marketing, and more. Unlike piecing together multiple “one-trick pony” tools, all of our features are built to work together seamlessly. No need for third-party integrations like Zapier, APIs, or other complex setups, which can often be complex, fragile and time-consuming.

“The single most influential tool in growing my business! The client management options are top-notch! Project management helps my business ensure we’re always on top of our projects and deliverables are centralized. Billing is everything for us! All of our services are centralized and can be attached to automated actions for ease of use!”
Ellis M., Owner & Principal Consultant

We’ve seen countless examples where SuiteDash users reduce costs by consolidating software and automating time-consuming processes. In fact, customers have reported saving thousands of dollars annually by replacing numerous subscription fees with a single SuiteDash subscription. Moreover, business owners are recapturing significant amounts of time. According to customer feedback, some businesses have reduced their manual admin work by over 50%, freeing up time to focus on growth and strategy.

For example, a marketing agency using SuiteDash was able to automate its entire client onboarding process, saving over 10 hours per week in manual admin work, and reducing its software expenses by 70%. Another customer in the consulting space grew their team by 30% without seeing any increase in software costs, allowing them to reinvest those savings directly into business development.

SuiteDash is not just about streamlining processes; it’s about empowering businesses to achieve what we call #SuiteFreedom—the ability to run and grow your business effectively while regaining control over your time and your life.

What are the biggest challenges your company has overcome since its founding? If you had to start over, what would you do differently?

One of the biggest challenges we’ve faced at SuiteDash is the sheer complexity of what we’re building. Unlike other software companies that often focus on solving a single pain point, SuiteDash was designed from the ground up as a comprehensive platform with 15 different toolkits—each addressing its own unique set of business needs. The scope and ambition of what we’re doing eclipse by far what most companies are challenged with.

The real challenge was ensuring that all these toolkits could seamlessly integrate, share data, and trigger automations across the platform. Because SuiteDash was designed from the very beginning to be a multi-tool solution, we invested heavily in laying the right foundation early on. This groundwork ensured that completion actions in one toolkit could easily trigger actions in another, enabling smooth inter-automation. But building this kind of multifaceted platform presented a level of complexity that we had to solve on our own, particularly because we were the OG pioneer in the all-in-one software space. There was no roadmap to follow; we had to innovate at every step.

If I had to start over, I wouldn’t say we’d do anything differently. We made the best decisions with the information and options we had at the time, and those decisions have shaped the success of SuiteDash today. While navigating this complexity was challenging, it also led to the powerful, integrated platform we offer now. Our journey has been about solving bigger problems and offering greater value than what is possible with single-purpose software, and I believe our approach was the right one.

What is the most powerful and easy-to-apply tactic that helped you quickly increase revenue and traffic? What metrics did it move and by how much?

SuiteDash was born out of our own experience as a large web design and marketing agency, where one of our core competencies was SEO. We used those skills to create a wide range of entry points into our marketing funnels by targeting relevant search terms and generating organic search engine listings.

The key advantage of this approach is that it enabled us to attract our target audience without spending any money on paid advertising. These organic search results cost us nothing and allowed us to create a zero customer acquisition cost (CAC). Once potential customers found us through organic search, we were able to move them through our marketing funnels, converting them into paying customers.

This strategy not only drove consistent traffic but also an impressive early growth rate of over 50% year-over-year. And because these were organic listings, we were able to maintain this level of growth without spending anything on traditional marketing or advertising. Additionally, satisfied customers naturally spread the word to other businesses, creating a powerful word-of-mouth effect that compounded our growth.

By focusing on SEO and leveraging organic traffic, we were able to achieve scalable, sustainable growth without requiring a large marketing budget. It’s a strategy that’s not only powerful but also highly cost-effective for any business looking to grow quickly and efficiently.

What emerging trends and technologies will impact your industry the most in the next few years, and how do you suggest getting ready for these changes?

One of the most significant trends we foresee in the next 3-5 years is the consolidation of what we call “one-trick pony” software into comprehensive, all-in-one platforms. Currently, many businesses rely on multiple standalone tools to solve different pain points—CRM, project management, invoicing, file storage, etc. We’ve always envisioned a future where these fragmented tools merge into more integrated solutions, eliminating the need to juggle multiple applications.

This trend is becoming increasingly clear, and we believe that within the next few years, the market will consolidate around a few key players offering multi-tool platforms that solve multiple business needs in an elegant, integrated way. The complexity and time investment required to build such platforms give these key players a defensible market position, and we strongly believe that SuiteDash will be one of these key players. The businesses that can successfully consolidate and streamline the way companies manage their operations will become indispensable to their customers.

Another trend that will shape the future of our industry is the rapid advancement of AI, allowing for unprecedented levels of automation, efficiency, and customization. At SuiteDash, we are already implementing AI into our toolkits, and we anticipate a future where AI will allow us to provide customers with custom-built configurations instantly. For example, instead of manually setting up workflows or automations, a customer could simply describe what they are trying to achieve, and AI will configure the entire system for them within seconds.

To prepare for these changes, businesses should start by re-evaluating their current tech stack and consider moving toward platforms that can offer comprehensive, integrated solutions. Adopting all-in-one software will not only streamline operations but will also future-proof businesses as the industry continues to consolidate. Additionally, staying informed about AI advancements and adopting AI-driven solutions will help businesses remain competitive as automation becomes an increasingly important part of business management.

In short, the businesses that embrace both platform consolidation and AI-driven technologies will be best positioned to thrive in the rapidly evolving landscape of the next few years.

If there was one unconventional piece of advice you wish our readers could bring home from this interview, what would it be?

Take the time to define their systems, processes, and automations if they want to scale their businesses. Many entrepreneurs fall into the trap of thinking that working harder or putting in more hours will lead to growth, but the truth is that brute force alone doesn’t scale. What does scale is having well-defined, replicable systems in place.

At SuiteDash, we’ve designed our platform specifically to help business owners accomplish this. By investing the time upfront to design your business processes and set up automations, you’ll not only see increased efficiency and profitability, but you’ll also gain back your time—something that’s far more valuable in the long run. We call this #SuiteFreedom—the ability to grow your business while also having the freedom to enjoy life outside of work.

The real payoff is not just in the profit margins, but in the quality of life you can achieve. When your business runs smoothly and autonomously, you’re free to spend time doing what you love, whether that’s with family, pursuing hobbies, or just relaxing. It’s about creating a business that works for you, not the other way around.

So, if there’s one takeaway from this interview, it’s to shift your mindset from working harder to working smarter by systematizing and automating your business. The rewards, both personal and professional, are worth the effort.
