VentraIP Can’t Beat SiteGround’s Feature-Packed Shared Hosting Plans
With SiteGround’s shared hosting plans, you get from 1 to unlimited websites, 10 GB to 40 GB SSD storage, 10,000 to 100,000 monthly visitors, unlimited email accounts, unlimited databases, and managed WordPress. All SiteGround’s shared hosting plans come with free daily backups, free SSL certificate, free Weebly site builder, and free CDN. If you sign up for the GrowBig or GoGeek plans, you’ll also get speed-boosting caching, site staging, and can add collaborators to your website with separate SiteGround accounts. The GoGeek plan also gives you access to more server resources, pre-installed Git, and priority support. 3. Performance
SiteGound Delivers Faster Page Loading Speeds Than VentraIP
SiteGround delivers its services via server locations in the U.S.A., the U.K., the Netherlands, and Singapore. VentraIP only has two server locations, and both are in Australia. Both hosts use SSD storage, which performs much faster than HDD in website data processing – improving your website’s loading speed and overall performance. While SiteGround includes a free CDN with all its plans, VentraIP doesn’t. A CDN, or Content Delivery Network, is a performance-boosting feature. It places your website on a global network of cloud servers to improve loading speed from different locations. SiteGround and VentraIP promise a 99.9% uptime guarantee and, when tested, both exceeded that promise with a perfect uptime rating. When testing SiteGround’s loading speed from different locations, using Sucuri, it showed promising speeds across North America and some places in Europe. Unfortunately, other locations showed much slower load times, resulting in a global score of B. You can see more results in this detailed SiteGround review. When performing the same test on VentraIP, most locations showed disappointing load times. What’s even more upsetting is that the Australian server failed to connect. VentraIP scored an F in the loading speed test. Read this VentraIP review for more results. SiteGround offers more performance features and performed better than VentraIP when tested, making this round an easy win for SiteGround.4. Security
SiteGround Is More Proactive About Your Website’s Security
All of SiteGround’s plans come with a standard set of security features; including a Web Application Firewall (WAF), an artificial intelligence (AI) anti-bot system to protect against malicious attacks including DDoS and Brute-Force, 24/7 server monitoring, and access to the Sucuri-developed SG Scanner (antimalware). Like SiteGround, VentraIP also has a set of security features and measures that come with all its plans. These include Corero DDoS protection, Fortinet Hardware Firewall, CageFS, Immunity360, CSF/LFD, and dynamic ModSecurity rulesets. CloudLinux OS is only available as an option with VentraIP’s unmanaged VPS plans. However, SiteGround applies a similar system, called Unique Account Isolation, with its Linux-based shared hosting plans as standard. These systems’ primary purpose is to securely isolate your account from other accounts on the same server to protect it against any threats targeting these accounts. They also ensure the fair allocation of the server’s resources. SiteGround provides free automatic daily backups with all of its plans, while VentraIP includes free automatic hourly backups with its shared hosting plans and backups every six hours with its VPS plans. Both hosts include free SSL certificates with all plans. The security round is quite challenging as both hosts have a wide range of advanced security features. Still, SiteGround has slightly more to offer, making it the winner by a thin margin.5. Support
It’s a Tie! Both Provide Very Good Support and Plenty of Resources
While both hosts have knowledgebase sections, SiteGround’s is more comprehensive and organized. SiteGround’s support is available 24/7 via live chat and phone. I went for the live chat and connected to an agent instantly, who answered my questions promptly. The agent was very knowledgeable and helpful. The only thing missing from SiteGround’s support would be more channels (email and support tickets). Feel free to reach out to VentraIP’s support via live chat, phone, email, and support ticket. Similar to my experience with SiteGround, I opted for live chat and swiftly connected with an agent. The agent exhibited politeness, professionalism, and excellent training, addressing all of my inquiries seamlessly without any delays. Both hosts have reliable support. While SiteGround has a better knowledgebase, VentraIP has more support channels. In other words, it’s a tie in the support round. It’s a Sweeping Victory for SiteGround
Although SiteGround and VentraIP tied in the support round, SiteGround won in every other category. It’s no surprise that SiteGround is one of the top 10 best web hosts. VentraIP may be slightly less expensive, but SiteGround offers more hosting options, feature-packed plans, and advanced security features. SiteGround also delivers better performance than VentraIP.SiteGround
