This week, we had the opportunity to speak with Taha Kamal, the CEO and Founder of
Topvpnservice. We discussed their beginnings and development, the new technologies in the cybersecurity industry, as well as the effect of Covid-19 on their business.
Please describe the story behind the company: What sparked the idea, and how has it evolved so far?
Topvpnservice was purely created to spark cybersecurity awareness. It’s no secret that the rate of cybersecurity vulnerabilities has spiked in the recent year, and is likely to keep rising in the years to come.
We created a company that deals with online security software that’ll help users curb many online threats. It’s almost certain that most users across the globe strive to access geo-restricted streaming services, torrenting platforms, or even use their personal devices for official tasks.
We, at Topvpnservice, believe that it is in our duty to help users understand the importance of cybersecurity measures, in whatever their tasks are.
It’s only been 2.5 years for Topvpnservice, created back in 2018, but we are proud to say that we’ve made many progress in such a short time, and will continue to push forward for years to come. Our team of professionals work day in and out to create guides and content that’s not only useful, but also make sure that each piece is comprehendible to all audiences.
What services do you offer?
Our services are taken on a personal level. We feel that it is the right of every user to understand the value of cybersecurity measures. We have a team that tests numerous VPN software; reviewing them in detail before placing any recommendations. We also highlight user-friendly how-to guides for setting up various VPN software on popular devices and include blogs around various topics related to technology.
What separates you from other similar websites/companies?
What’s different about us? We test each software before recommending it. We make sure that every security feature is tested and is exposed right down to the last detail. Yes, there are many websites that offer similar services, but we truly believe that honesty in our work is our greatest asset.
How do you envision the future of your industry?
In time, there will be a
massive spurt in the VPN industry, and at the same time, cybercrimes will also make their way to the ever-growing list. With that said, everyone, in time, will need active guidance in the dos and don’ts, to maintain online privacy and security. That’s where we see ourselves in the future. While working on coming up with newer and better ways to keep the public informed, at the same time we offer them the choice of only the top-performing VPN software and guides.
Which trends and technologies do you find to be particularly intriguing these days?
The work from home and bringing your own device trends have taken over, and it’s most interesting to find out where the security of cyberspace and devices lies in this phase. Then there’s also Cloud computing, 5G, quantum computing that needs to be studied and understood as part of the network framework.
How has COVID impacted your customers and business?
During the initial stages of the pandemic, the work from home schedules was greatly affected in many ways. Lack of coordination, slower speeds, and well, personal life intermingled with work. However, our company stood its grounds and learned to adjust according to every situation thrown our way. It was a little tough at first, but nothing that couldn’t be handled.
Would you say there is enough awareness of cybersecurity among the industry and the people you work with?
On a real note, cybersecurity awareness is brushed under the rug for most users around the world. You’ll find a drastic spike in cybercrimes and attacks, in all mediums of the cyber world. It’s quite a terrible situation that sprang out of control.
This is mostly because people around the world aren’t quite acquainted nor accustomed to the idea of cybersecurity measures. You’ll also find that the cybersecurity software industry is taking a low turn in producing the strongest security tools, merely for the reason to make a quick buck.
That’s where our company comes into the picture. We strive to scout only legit and military-encrypted VPN software for users to invest in. Being part of the cybersecurity realm, we find it in our best interest to continue to push awareness in as many directions as we can.
However, because of the rise in cyber-crimes, especially recorded during the pandemic, most internet users are now seeing the brighter and crucial side to inculcating cybersecurity measures in more ways than before. In our own company, we make it a rule to inform the employees of what and how to handle situations similar, if ever they occur.
We believe that through personal practice and gathering information on the best cybersecurity measures, we are able to share it with the world. We don’t believe in taking the easy way out and no one should, considering that number one priority should be given into securing our digital endeavors.
