In these modern times, the technology is developing quickly, as well as our ability to understand it and use (or abuse) it. This is having a significant, negative impact on cybersecurity, so having a good VPN software is now more important than ever!
This week, we had the opportunity to speak with Adam Miller from
FastestVPN, who kindly agreed to give us some insight into their product.
What is FastestVPN?
FastestVPN is a virtual private network service offering cutting-edge encryption combined with super-fast servers to seamlessly maintain online security. It’s an unparalleled VPN software that supports all the devices and major platforms like Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, and Linux.
How do you envision the future of your industry?
Considering all the Cybersecurity trends, the VPN industry will see massive growth. With time, cybercrimes and network invasions will evolve. Therefore, everyone will have a VPN to maintain a stronghold in the online space and that’s what seems positive particularly for the VPN domain.
Which trends and technologies do you find to be particularly intriguing these days?
BYOD is a new trend that seems intriguing these days and besides that many other technologies have also hit the surface. Cloud computing and firewall technology also appear relevant to contemporary network security frameworks.
Please describe the story behind the company: What sparked the idea, and how has it evolved so far?
FastestVPN is a Cayman Island-based VPN service, which started its journey in 2017. With lots of technological advancements, the cybersecurity threats also accelerated, and that’s what triggered FastestVPN to help users’ gain 100% online security. Today, we are one of the leading VPN providers in the market, offering advanced protocols along with 256-Bit AES encryption to seamlessly protect users’ online identity and combat online security threats while securing connections on public Wi-Fi networks.
How has COVID impacted your customers and business?
Just like every other business, COVID-19 also impacted FastestVPN, but the effect was positive. FastestVPN drastically sold out for network security purposes. Many companies connected FastestVPN to resume remote work operations securely without hacking and intruding attempts.
What separates you from other similar websites/companies?
The quality of speed and connection security compared to the offered prices sets us apart from other top VPN brands. Our unlimited server switching feature delivers unrestrained access to global content.
Would you say there is enough awareness of cybersecurity among the industry and the people you work with?
Being a VPN service provider, we think that right now people are still not very aware of cyber vulnerabilities, and security issues that may raise serious concerns.
Therefore, every year even big enterprises fall victim to critical security breaches and gets tricked with data theft or ransomware attempts.
The situation was even worse in the past times when people were not even bothered about internet privacy, and the use of VPN was not even an option.
Luckily, we are living in the age of technology today, where people get bothered and think over their privacy rights. Today, we can see that internet users get to know their internet freedom, and they try to adopt better tools for online security.
As a VPN service provider, we strongly believe that the dynamics have changed swiftly, and users have become more aware at the moment. Yet, we still have a long way to go and there’s a constant need of awareness endeavors.
The VPN industry is one of the leading industries, and we are a proud part of it. We see it as our core responsibility to make constant efforts to raise awareness regarding cybersecurity as much as we can do.
Without educating people, we can’t expect change and change always starts from within you. We are struggling every day and finding hot, burning cyber issues. Sometimes we read or hear news related to that or sometimes we experience it on our own.
This is all a part of our learning process that we use to enhance our product to add more value into that so that our users can potentially achieve an enhanced level of cybersecurity and privacy.
On the other hand, we also make immense efforts to use our knowledge to educate our users about how important is cybersecurity and what severe changes it can bring to you.
It’s true that no one wants their data to be breached, and users are aware of the potential threats but we cannot say that users are 100% aware of cyber issues and security.
It’s a partial thing and we still need to do a lot of work to keep raising security awareness within the community.
