What inspired the founding of Flow Ninja in 2015, and how has the agency evolved to become an award-winning Webflow partner?

I have always been interested in marketing and learning about different ways to promote one’s service or product. During my high school days, it was just social media and graphic design, but as years went by I started dipping my toes into web development as well. Starting with the most popular platforms such as WordPress, I got a chance to work in two different startups in Lithuania and London that were both built on Webflow.

I really liked Webflow as a platform and as someone who was always into marketing, I saw its potential. I also liked building something in my hometown as opposed to moving hundreds of miles away. Combine those two and that’s how Flow Ninja’s journey began.

With time Flow Ninja has evolved from the Webflow implementation partner focusing primarily on design and development services, into a full-service Webflow growth, strategy, and consulting studio. We still invest a great amount of time into delivering the best possible production services, but we understand that many of the brands that are reaching out to us are looking for a web partner who will be much more than just working on completing Jira tickets. They were looking for a partner who would power their growth, and that’s what we became.

Today, Flow Ninja has almonds 50 full-time, in-house experts ranging from Webflow developers and Designers to Project Managers, QAs, and marketing experts. We have successfully completed more than 150 B2B projects and keep working on an ongoing basis with some of the biggest names out there such as Upwork.com and Checkout.com

Looking back from today’s perspective, even though I always worked hard toward Flow Ninja becoming the studio that it is today, I never imagined that we would be able to achieve everything we have in this relatively short amount of time.

Can you elaborate on your comprehensive blend of design, development, SEO, and strategy services, and how they contribute to elevating clients’ projects?

From my perspective, websites are never done. They are also much more than just nice-looking business cards on the web. I see websites as one of the biggest lead-generation tools that everyone should have in their GTM arsenal and the core of any company’s growth in the 21st century.

With this philosophy and the value of building meaningful partnerships in mind, with time we decided to expand services beyond web design and Webflow development. We started by adding strategy services such as in-depth discovery workshops, then included technical SEO together with keyword research and content planning, and finally wrapped up the one-stop-shop idea by adding web consulting and multiple microservices.

By doing this we are positioning ourselves as a true partner towards our clients that have the same goal as their internal teams – drive sustainable growth and surpass KPIs. This was not just a business-driven decision, but a way we as a team can make the biggest impact.

How does Flow Ninja’s full-service in-house team approach benefit clients compared to traditional agency models?

Our full-service, in-house team is one of our biggest strengths and a key differentiator compared to traditional agency models. By having all our experts—designers, Webflow developers, project managers, QAs, GTM professionals, and SEO specialists working under the same roof, we can ensure seamless collaboration and a unified approach to every project.

This setup eliminates the silos often seen in traditional agencies where work is outsourced or segmented across multiple teams. With everyone on the same page, we’re able to move faster, maintain higher quality, and respond to client needs with unmatched agility.

Moreover, having an in-house team allows us to deeply immerse ourselves in our clients’ businesses, acting as an extension of their internal team rather than an external vendor. This holistic approach fosters long-term partnerships, ensures alignment on goals, and ultimately drives more impactful results. It’s not just about delivering projects—it’s about delivering growth and building relationships that last.

Additionally, friendships and personal bonds that form inside the team are something that we have seen have a positive impact on the overall work provided by the team. This is why even though we are a remote-first company, we still have 1 day a month, as well as a couple of yearly events where all team members come together to work from our Flow Ninja HUB in Niš.

Could you share a success story where your Webflow expertise significantly enhanced a client’s online presence and lead-generation capabilities?

One of my favorite success stories to share is the Webflow migration that we worked on for a company called 21shares.

21Shares, a daughter company of 21.co, is the world’s first and largest crypto ETP issuer. Together we helped them migrate the 21shares.com website to Webflow which led to:
  • 37.5% decrease in complaints and tickets from internal CX stakeholders (Marketing, Sales, Data, Finance, Trading/Capital Markets, Legal)
  • 61.1% decrease in website loading time (from 1,34s to 521ms)
  • 75% go-to-market (From ~1 month to ~1 week for go-to-market in new regions)
  • And finally +$300k annual cost savings for hiring developers

What role does your proprietary client relations platform, SixStar, play in enhancing project transparency and client satisfaction?

SixStar is a client relationship management app that we created in-house a couple of years back and have been using ever since. This decision was driven by three core reasons:

  1. After using multiple project management solutions, we couldn’t seem to find the right one. Some of them were too complex, some lacked core features and with time and with an increasing number of team members, the pricing per seat would become an issue as well.
  2. The second reason was to provide our clients with a SixStar experience. The app is not named SixStar just because we thought it was fancy enough, but because it is one of the core values at Flow Ninja. With everything we do, we aim to deliver both the highest quality but also the best possible experience to our clients. Having an in-house, proprietary app that they will use to work with our team is just one piece of the puzzle.
  3. As the SixStar app is solemnly built on no-code tools Webflow, Xano and Wized, we saw no better way to showcase that working with no-code tools has no limitations in terms of what can be built with them.

How do you stay ahead of emerging trends in web design and development to ensure your clients receive innovative and effective solutions?

Staying ahead of emerging trends in web design and development is integral to how we operate at Flow Ninja. Our approach is rooted in a commitment to continuous learning and adaptability, which allows us to deliver innovative and effective solutions for our clients.

First, we actively invest in upskilling our team by attending industry-leading conferences, participating in Webflow events, and following cutting-edge thought leaders in design, development, and marketing. This not only keeps us informed about the latest tools and practices but also ensures we’re applying them in meaningful ways.

Second, we prioritize experimentation and internal innovation. Whether it’s exploring new Webflow features, enhancing technical SEO strategies, or refining user experience design with data-driven insights, our team is constantly testing and iterating to stay ahead of the curve. On a yearly basis we have been investing more than $100k for research and development purposes.

Finally, we listen to our clients and their evolving needs. By conducting in-depth sessions and staying engaged through ongoing partnerships, we align our services with market demands and emerging opportunities. This combination of proactive learning, experimentation, and collaboration ensures that we’re not just keeping up with trends but helping to set them—providing our clients with solutions that are both forward-thinking and impactful.
