Really bad ‘designers’
I was looking for a new logo for my project and decided to try DC. But tbh i really regret buying a logo from here. The designers are imo really bad and most of them have no idea what there doing. All I received was a bad logo with some generic 'Free Download' that was made in Word or Paint. If you're trying to run a professional brand - don't use Design Crowd.
I liked this service! I recently launched a couple of projects, I needed icons and logs. The guys did everything on time, they didn't rip off the price either. In general, I am satisfied with the work! I plan to launch several more projects in the future, so I will return to them
I wonder about all those bad experiences people seem to have made with DesignCrowd. Over the course of the last three years, I've used DesignCrowd in almost ten different projects and the results were amazing. There were four different logo design projects, an icon design project for a dozen apps, a poster design, and a couple of smaller design jobs. The winning designs were from India, the USA, South East Asia, South America etc. The language was never an issue. Of course, there sometimes are beginners delivering simple designs but in a contest that's totally fine. All design projects were a success and I'm sure going to re-use DesignCrowd whenever there is a design task.
It was hard to make the logo we needed here, as we were constantly reworking it. It seems that in the terms of reference everything is specified in detail, but in the end, there were various final versions that did not coincide with the terms of reference..
Don't walk, RUN!!!! To pretty much any other outlet for designs you can find. This company is a con and the refund policy is really "try us and get a 50% refund if we don't deliver". On top of that support will delay your refund as long as possible...
Long story short I opened a project with a very clear brief on what I wanted for a t-shirt design for my boutique and I received designs that had absolutely nothing to do with what I required. After not receiving artwork that met my requirements I called to request a refund. The representative offered to extend the project out for another week and invited the artist to participate in the contest. I did find a design that I liked but the artist would not respond to the request for changes. I called customer service again and requested a refund only to be told that I could not get my entire refund back because of posting fees!! I paid $165 for a design and would only get back $100... This was my first experience with DesignCrowd and it is absolutely my last.
I used this service to search for a copywriter. The service is not very convenient due to the fact that the interface is not very friendly. As a result, after a couple of hours of searching, I finally realized how to find an employee the easiest way. Please refine this point.
I signed up for a website design, and was immediately contacted offline by one of their designers, telling me to end my contest and pick their design. I reported her as a scammer to customer service, and they did nothing. She continued to harass me to the point of making my contest private, repeatly contacting customer service about it, and repeatedly being told "she was warned.". Needless to say, the websites I was forced to choose from were awful, and when I did pick a winner, that designer stopped answering my emails. I continually asked for refunds and was denied. Paypal denied my requests for refunds as well. I was told my customer service that I had to commit to the contest to get my money back.
Please stay away from this website.
