Wix Launches Wix Studio for Agencies and Freelancers
Wix, a SaaS website builder, recently introduced an AI-powered web creation platform. Wix Studio enables agencies and freelancers to build client websites by leveraging Wix’s new suite of tools and capabilities.
Boasting complete design control, Wix Studio is a robust web creation platform offering a website editor with code-free animations and advanced design features. AI-powered capabilities include an AI code assistant, AI layout design, and AI text and image generation.
Wix Studio features a comprehensive workspace dashboard that acts as a central hub for managing multiple projects, clients, and teams. All of these capabilities will also be available on the go via the Wix Studio app.
On the client experience side, Wix Studio allows clients to personalize the process by setting up custom roles and permissions, add content and data updates, and provide feedback directly on the canvas.
Agencies and freelancers can also leverage the Blocks workspace to build apps and “monetize them on [Wix’s] app market, with an audience of 245M+ potential customers.”
According to the company, the new platform is getting released “gradually” to ensure a smooth rollout. Agencies and freelancers already using Wix or Editor X will get invited via email to switch to the Wix Studio account “soon.” Users will continue to have access to everything they previously built on Wix. Non-users can join a waitlist to receive email notifications.
Wix Studio will be available at no additional charge to existing users. There are also a few premium plans for those who wish to access more features.
Wix is at the forefront of innovation, continuously upgrading its platform with new capabilities. Just recently, the company announced it’s working on an AI site generator that can build entire websites from AI prompts.
Wix has been increasingly experimenting with AI lately, introducing a few other AI-powered tools like the AI Text Creator. This tool within the Wix Editor enables users to create personalized content (or at least a good base to edit further) for their websites in a matter of minutes.
Wix Artificial Design Intelligence (ADI), a tool that launched in 2016, was one of the company’s first attempts to leverage AI to speed up and simplify the website design process.
