Kamatera Scales Up US Presence With 3 New Data Centers

Sarah Hardacre Written by:
Kamatera has announced that it has added three new US data center locations to meet the growing needs of the North American market. The new data centers are located in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Seattle, bringing Kamatera’s US presence to a total of nine locations.

All new data centers are certified to match the same quality and performance as the rest of the Kamatera network. They offer high levels of availability and security that will allow companies to operate critical applications.

The Atlanta site, in particular, is intended to meet the growing demand for cloud services in the Southeastern United States. The Los Angeles site aims to expand connectivity to California’s expansive tech scene – Kamatera already has a location in Santa Clara, the center of Silicon Valley.

The data center in Seattle was chosen to boost connectivity on a large scale. It is located in a major West Coast connectivity hub that contains “multiple internet exchange points and undersea cable landing stations.”

All three data centers are already operational and offer high bandwidth connectivity. Kamatera noted it would continue to expand to additional data centers without providing further details.

Kamatera is a global cloud services provider (CSP) that serves many customers, from start-ups to application developers to international enterprises. To meet the needs of its diverse clientele, it has a large offering with many options.

The data center industry has grown significantly in recent years, driven by demand from CSPs such as Kamatera. Some analysts expect data center demand to balloon further because of the increasing adoption of power-hungry AI tools, which they say will either compete with CSPs for data center resources or become a large part of CSP demand.

The growth of energy-intensive data centers has invited environmental concerns. Kamatera’s data centers aim to reach climate neutrality by 2030, and the three new locations are certified to meet high environmental standards.
